Emergency Landing Near Danbury |
|
|
On Friday afternoon, July 28, 2006
a Cesna 172 made an Emergency Landing North of Danbury. The plane
had two on board and was enroute from Oshkosh, WI to Colorado. The plane
ran out of fuel and alerted Minneapolis Air Traffic Control that they
were going down for an Emergency Landing. A Jet Blue flight was monitoring the emergency frequency and alerted MSP ATC of
the planes exact location which was County Highway D50. MSP ATC then alerted
the Woodbury County Communications Center who paged out fire and
ambulance units. Along with the Danbury Fire Department, the
Danbury Ambulance and Woodbury County Sheriff's Office Responded.
